NINA WHEELER

Owner

Dr. Nina Wheeler is a Board Certified Physical Therapist, holding a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her BA in Kinesiology from Occidental College, where she was a captain of the Women’s Water Polo team. A lifelong learner and always honing her craft, Nina completed a fellowship with The Gray Institute of Applied Functional Science, specialized coursework at the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and comprehensive training in Myofascial release and Neural Manipulation techniques.
Nina’s specialty is her hands-on bodywork, utilizing a wide range of techniques to restore the tissue’s natural state and function. This includes Myofascial and Soft Tissue release techniques, Scar Tissue Manipulation, Neural Manipulation, joint mobilization and modalities including Cupping, Gua-Sha and Neuro-muscular Electrical Stimulation. Her method emphasizes movement and strength for both its preventative and curative effects. She specializes in Sports Injuries, Orthopedic Conditions, and Women’s Health, consulting closely with Orthopedic Surgeons, Primary Care Physicians, OBGYNS and Sports Coaches to deliver comprehensive care.
Nina’s practice blends scientific knowledge, clinical experience, and a compassionate approach to create a tailored rehabilitation plan for each patient. As a lifelong athlete, collegiate Water Polo player, and surfer, Nina brings energy and focus to each Highline session.

Bear Lewis

Dr. Bear Lewis is a Board-Certified Physical Therapist holding a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine, San Marcos. He graduated with high honors and was inducted into the ACAPT National Honors Society. He also completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at San Diego State University. Additionally, Bear is certified in Applied Functional Science and holds certification as a sports performance coach through USA Weightlifting.
Bear utilizes a variety of hands-on manual therapy techniques, foundational movements, functional strength training, and sport-specific programming to treat a wide range of patients, including orthopedic and post-surgical cases, youth athletes, competitive surfers, professional snowboarders, and anyone in between. Bear’s combination of sports performance and rehabilitation expertise allows him to offer individualized, specific, and functional treatment plans to patients of all ability levels, helping them return to active lifestyles and achieve new goals in both recreational and professional avenues.
Born and raised in San Diego, Bear is an active athlete, mountain biker, and snowboarder. He brings passion and energy to the clinic, with a goal of making a positive impact in his community with every session.
