Dr. Nina Wheeler is a Board Certified Physical Therapist, holding a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her BA in Kinesiology from Occidental College, where she was a captain of the Women’s Water Polo team. A lifelong learner and always honing her craft, Nina completed a fellowship with The Gray Institute of Applied Functional Science, specialized coursework at the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and comprehensive training in Myofascial release and Neural Manipulation techniques from the Barral Institute.
Nina’s specialty is her hands-on bodywork, utilizing a wide range of techniques to restore the tissue’s natural state and function. This includes Myofascial and Soft Tissue release techniques, Scar Tissue Manipulation, Neural Manipulation, Low Velocity Manual Joint Mobilization techniques and modalities including Cupping, Gua-Sha, Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation and Blood Flow Restriction Therapy. Her method emphasizes movement and strength for both its preventative and curative effects. She specializes in Sports Injuries, Orthopedic Conditions, and Women’s Health, consulting closely with Orthopedic Surgeons, Primary Care Physicians, OBGYNS and Sports Coaches to deliver comprehensive care.
Nina’s practice blends scientific knowledge, clinical experience, and a compassionate approach to create a tailored rehabilitation plan for each patient. As a lifelong athlete, collegiate Water Polo player, and surfer, Nina brings energy and focus to each Highline session.


Dr. Tyler Engquist, PT, DPT, is a Physical Therapist who earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy with high honors from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. He completed his undergraduate studies at California State University, East Bay, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Therapeutic Studies.
Tyler’s clinical approach centers on a blend of utilizing hands-on soft tissue mobilization, skilled manual therapy, functional movement, and joint techniques to optimize recovery and restore tissue health. His practice is dedicated to helping athletes stay on the field through preventative care and improved movement strategies, guiding patients through the complexities of post-operative recovery, and helping adults maintain their independence through improved balance and gait. Tyler views patient education as the ultimate form of empowerment, ensuring every individual understands their body and the “why” behind their path to wellness.
A fan of all things outdoors, Tyler is often found at the gym, cheering on his favorite baseball and football team, or attending local events. He is also an avid cook who enjoys discovering new local eateries and staying connected with his community.
